I had heard discussions of this band for a while now, but holy fuck buttons! they really have a pretty interesting sound. I just checked them out and got their new CD "Street Horrrsing" because they'll be playing McCarren Pool with Liars and Team Robespierre of July20th. I really hope I can make that show now. Fuck Buttons is I guess technically a noise band but the stuff they do is occasionally somewhat catchy and poppy and at times bright (unlike most noise bands that are really dark most of the time). Hey man, about your comment on Sigur Rós, they are not singing in some "elf language".
The singer describes as just...feeling himself in the music and making sounds that fit the music, no language they've made up.
And just because people don't sing in your language you judge them? gees man.
And forgot to put in.
Most of their songs are in Icelandic.
